Nice sandwich shop with a great selection of hot and cold subs. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and was asked if I had been here before. My answer was no so she explained the menu to me. I ordered the whole BLT with chips and a pickle spear on the side. Sandwich was fresh and delicious. They do serve alcohol. I would rather have a beer than a soda. Prices weren't to bad. I will gladly pay a little more for quality food. Will definitely be back!

Stopped in Today for lunch, I eat there occasionally as the food is fantastic. First, when you walk in very very friendly staff, knowledgeable you cannot beat the quantity & quality of food for the price! Soups and chili are homemade yum yum! I would highly recommend if you haven’t been to Don’s subs, you must try it out.

We came in for the very first time today, on a Saturday noon for lunch, it was a little busy as they had a catering order to finish up, but otherwise the wait was worth it! The employees were fantastic and were very attentive with asking us to be patient as they were a little backed up with the catering order, asked how our food was, etc. My partner enjoyed his Barn Club sandwich and I LOVED the nachos supreme, it was large portions and reasonable prices! This is a place I would highly recommend, and would be back again soon! #update: We came back! I had the tuna sandwich, my partner had the Captain sandwich. They were absolutely fresh and delicious! The owner of the shop gave us a free cookie, which was super sweet of her! I think it was her birthday too if I heard correctly, so Happy Birthday!!

This is a hidden gem in the great city of McHenry!! The best sub I've had in years 😁. The bread was so fresh and warm. The pastrami was sliced so thin and piled so high!!! Everything is made fresh to order and if that wasn't enough. They will cater your event. Awesome place ran by some awesome people. Please experience it yourself, you will not be disappointed 😎

Such an amazing family owned sandwich shop with fresh ingredients and fresh bread daily! I personally love their BLT and their homemade cookies and the pasta salad😋 Plus on certain days of the week they have a wheel you can spin to win free food and drinks!

First time in for lunch. Had a hot Pastrami on an onion roll. Very good, was still juicy and not dry. House sauce on top was very good as well. Need to go back and try the kernal!

The club sandwich was fantastic. Really crispy bacon, perfectly cooked. The small was a perfect size and was very filling. Better than a lot of chain sandwich places where it feels like you're just eating bland and overly fluffy bread. Good quality ingredients here, the service was incredibly friendly and timely. Will definitely come back!

Went here for the first time today, to grab food for Me, My Wife and our son. We all found the food to be amazing!! Normally with sandwich shops you have to wonder if you are actually gonna get enough meat, well that is not a worry here. Our sandwiches where stuffed with meat, and the quality of the meat was top notch. I had the Admiral, Wife had the Pastrami and my son (3yo) had a PBJ. Come here hungry, leave here stuffed! Staff was also super nice and made you feel very welcome. Support local small businesses.
